Inner West Film Fest's Pitching Competition is returning for its second year! This thrilling and distinctive event gives contestants 90 seconds to pitch their top ideas to a panel of judges consisting of agents, producers, managers, and screenwriters.

Send through your project, including the concept, working title, synopsis and a 1-minute video pitch describing how and why your film should be made, to info@innerwestfilmfest.com.au by 21 March 2024.
The top finalists will participate in the Pitch Competition in April, and the winner will receive a substantial mentorship from Industry professionals to help develop your project to the next stage. This includes the top prize from DAVE Enterprises, an independent Australian pre-production studio, which has offered to lend its expertise to the winner by aiding in the creation of an industry-level storyboard and animatic to the value of $10,000 (AUD). Turning simple ideas into moving, detailed worlds is what DAVE Enterprises is known for and helping the winning story and its creators navigate the next phase of development is what we are all about.

By entering the Pitching Competition, you acknowledge the inherent risk that an idea pitched at the Festival may be replicated later and that you voluntarily assume the risk. While Festival organisers take every reasonable precaution to protect ideas submitted, the Festival does not guarantee that an idea pitched during the Pitching Competition will not be reproduced by a Festival attendee or otherwise at a later date. It is the contestant's responsibility to take any necessary precautions they see fit to ensure their idea remains protected.
