UNCANCELLED

Australian Premiere

Directed by Luke Eve | 2024 | 108 mins | Spain, Australia | UNCL 15+ | In English and Spanish with English subtitles

Funny, rich, and real, all of the answers are there in the wildly entertaining UnCancelled.

Through two web series, Cancelled and ReCancelled, Australian writer/director Luke Eve and Spanish actress Maria Albinana have documented (via dramatic license) their complex relationship through a wide variety of ups and downs, culminating in a comedic, romantic and bittersweet wedding in Valencia.

The duo returns bigger than ever with the feature film UnCancelled, which continues their incredible but highly relatable story, and brings it to a natural, perfectly fitting end. In 2022, with the pandemic seemingly under control, their family and friends have waited long enough: it’s time for Luke and Maria to get married. But Luke, forever worried about the pandemic, and his past, doesn’t know if he can go through with it. Will the couple – and more significantly, Luke’s mum Karen, make it to the altar?
